Eintracht Frankfurt sensation Luka Jović will almost certainly be on the move this summer, but it seems he won’t be heading to Bayern Munich.

According to Goal, former Frankfurt boss Niko Kovač is a huge fan of Jović but Bayern have no serious interest in signing him because a new striker is not a priority.

Speaking to Sky a fortnight ago, the Bavarian giants’ CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge suggested they will instead try to sign a new wide-man before the start of next season.

“For qualitative and quantitative reasons, we definitely need an outside striker,” said Rummenigge.

That means Jović is likely to leave the Bundesliga this summer, with Real Madrid and Barcelona thought to be the two front-runners for the Serbian striker’s signature.

Madrid general director José Ángel Sánchez is understood to have held a meeting with Jović’s agent, Fali Ramadani, at the end of March and interested parties are likely to have to fork out between €60m and €70m if they want to sign him.

However, there remains a possibility that the 21-year-old could still end up staying in Frankfurt for one more season.
