Bayern Munich are threatening to sign Ozan Kabak right under the nose of Milan.
The defender, relegated with Stuttgart last season, impressed in the Bundesliga after a January move from Galatasaray.
With a release clause of just €15m in his Stuttgart contract, it is no surprise to see the 19-year-old now attracting attention around Europe.
Kabak’s agent was seen in Milan on Monday but, according to Sport1, later flew in to Munich for talks with the Bundesliga champions.
Also on Monday, kicker and Bild confirmed Bayern’s interest. The defender is being targeted after the sale of Mats Hummels.
Bayern have already spent a combined €105m on defenders Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard ahead of next season.
However, the pair are also expected to cover the full-back positions and the club are still eager to sell Jérôme Boateng.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan expect to know whether or not Kabak will join them this week.
