Last season, the two sides announced a partnership that has already proven to be fruitful.

“We are delighted to announce this fixture, which marks another big step in our unique partnership,” Bayern Munich’s president of the Americas, Rudolf Vidal.

“Our partnership has already seen success with five FC Dallas players training in Munich and the loan signing of Chris Richards, showcasing our commitment to giving young players a pathway to professional soccer both in the United States and Germany.”

FC Dallas will hope to take full advantage of the opportunity.

“We’re thrilled to host Bayern Munich at Toyota Soccer Center in February as we prepare our first team for the 2019 season,” FC Dallas manager Luchi Gonzalez said.

“This is a phenomenal opportunity for our players to develop their chemistry and get minutes against an outstanding opponent.”

Bayern’s U-23 manager Holger Seitz is also excited for the occasion.

“We are looking forward to the week in Dallas and especially to the match against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium.

“For our players, the experience of playing against a team of many local U.S. talents is very attractive and a good test.
