Bayern Munich have taken a step closer to signing Ante Rebić after his agent reportedly travelled to Bavaria for talks.
Rebić impressed for Frankfurt last season – scoring twice against Bayern in the DFB Pokal final – and continued his good form for Croatia at the World Cup.
According to Sportbild, Niko Kovač has made his signing a priority and is urging the club hierarchy to meet his €40m valuation.
“Niko Kovač and I have always been a good match,” the 24-year-old told Goal in May. “I enjoy working with him.
“I’m not really thinking about a transfer. But as you all know, it’s hard to resist the call of a large club like Bayern.”
The report also claims that Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in the forward.
