Catalan based news outlet SPORT claim that the money will now be allocated elsewhere, with a clear plan of improving the collective.

Grêmio midfielder Arthur and Sevilla centre-back Clément Lenglet are the pair most likely to come in, with moves already being agreed in principle for both.

The report also claims that Philippe Coutinho will be used in a more attacking role next season which makes Miralem Pjanić a primary target for central midfield.

Barcelona are also expected to target an attacker with the future of Paco Alcácer in doubt, after making just nine starts last season.
