Barcelona are reportedly preparing to make a €60m bid for Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur after his impressive start to the season in Italy.

The 21-year-old has become one of the Bianconeri’s most important players this term having joined from Boca Juniors in summer 2017.

Massimiliano Allegri has been vociferous in his praise for the Uruguayan and has started him in 12 of Juve’s 14 Serie A games so far.

Juventus are so impressed with Bentancur that they are currently trying to renegotiate a clause in his contract that would eventually see Boca earn 50% of any future sale.

But before they can do that, Corriere dello Sport claim that Barcelona will make a move in January worth €60m.

Scouts from the Blaugrana have been to watch the youngster on a number of occasions this season, and with Rafinha set to miss the rest of the campaign they are are on the hunt for a new central midfielder.

Their story claims however that Juve will reject that kind of offer outright, and even if they were to sell, would want at least double that figure.
