Ernesto Valverde is expected to hand out a few Barcelona debuts when his side takes on Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Barça take a 1-0 lead into the second leg against the Segunda División B side and will be hoping to book their spot in the last 16 at Camp Nou.

Competition rules state that Valverde must field seven first-teamers for the game, but the likes of Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Ivan Rakitić are among those who could be rested.

According to Marca, a large contingent of players from the B team all trained with the senior squad on Monday and are in contention to play some part in the game.

The names are: Iñaki Peña, Dani Morer, Guillem Jaime Serrano, Chumi, Jorge Cuenca, Óscar Mingueza, Juan Miranda, Oriol Busquets, Marcus McGuane, Álex Collado, Riqui Puig, Rafa Mújica and Abel Ruiz.

Meanwhile Jasper Cillessen, Thomas Vermaelen and Sergi Samper – who have been out with injuries – all trained and could feature in the Copa clash.
