Barcelona have reportedly set a date of June 1 to announce Matthijs De Ligt’s signing from Ajax.
Ernesto Valverde’s side have already confirmed the arrival of Frenkie De Jong from the Eredivisie giants, having announced the midfielder’s signing back in March.
However according to one story in the Spanish press, his defensive team mate will also be making the trip to Camp Nou come the summer.
Sport insist that Barça have beaten Juventus and Real Madrid to De Ligt’s signing, with just personal details to iron out.
Both sides are in agreement though, with suggestions that the teenager could cost as much as €80m.
And it’s been claimed by the Catalan daily that Barcelona will announce De Ligt’s arrival on June 1 – the same day as the Champions League final.
Barcelona face Liverpool in the semi-finals, with the first leg at Camp Nou next Wednesday.
