Barcelona are reportedly preparing a mammoth bid for Paris Saint-Germain youngster Adrien Rabiot before the transfer window closes next week.

The Blaugrana are thought to be on the hunt for a new midfielder with Ivan Rakitić rumoured to be on his way out of the club.

As such, Mundo Deportivo believe that Ernesto Valverde’s men are ready to test Les Parisiens resolve by bidding €50m for the 23-year-old.

It’s been heavily reported that the Ligue 1 giants will reject any bid made for Rabiot, but €50m could well change that.

It may seem like a relatively small amount in this market, but the France international has in fact refused to sign a new deal at Parc des Princes and so would be out of contract and allowed to leave for free next summer.

Barça are desperate to land the player this summer though and so are set to lodge a formal bid in the coming days.

The window shits for Spanish clubs on August 31.
