The Spaniard has become Barcelona’s youngest ever goalscorer and will now only occasionally turn out for Barcelona B, the story claims. Appearances for Barcelona’s U-19 side are now ruled out completely.

Though he has Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembélé ahead of him, the plan is to keep using Fati in the first team when possible.

As such, the teenager is set to be rewarded with a new contract reflecting his importance.

Fati only signed a new contract in July but Barcelona already want to raise his release clause from €100m to €200m, according to the report.

That would not quite put the player out of the reach of the world’s richest clubs but should go a long way to securing his short and mid-term future.
