Barcelona are rapidly running out of options in their bid to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou this summer.

Barça are desperately hoping to re-sign the player who left them to join Paris Saint-Germain in a €222m world record deal two years ago.

But the Catalan club are unable to afford to buy Neymar back outright and their bloated squad means they would more than likely have to send at least one player to PSG as part of any deal.

And according to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 champions have this week expressed an interest in taking Ousmane Dembélé in part-exchange for their want-away Brazilian super star.

But the problem is, Dembélé is seemingly not interested in moving back to his homeland and wants to stay and fight for his place at Camp Nou.

The 22-year-old French winger moved to Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund – where he worked with PSG boss Thomas Tuchel – in the summer of 2017 in a deal worth a reported €125m and despite a combination of injuries and poor form, he has managed 18 goals and 17 assists in 65 appearances for the club.

If Neymar were to return to Barça, Dembélé’s chances of playing regular football would take a huge hit.

But as things stand, that transfer is looking increasingly unlikely and with just over two weeks of the transfer window remaining, there is probably more chance of Neymar joining Barça’s fierce rivals Real Madrid.
