Talented 22-year-old centre-back Bahlul Mustafazada has reportedly been offered a trial at Celtic.

The Azerbaijan U-21 international has appeared in 24 of their 25 games this season and is available on a free this summer as his contract will expire.

Now, with Celtic hovering, Mustafazada admitted he would jump at the opportunity to move to Celtic Park.

“I don’t want to comment on the situation at the moment, but of course I would want to play for a club like Celtic,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

“If a contract proposal happened then I would certainly jump at it.

“I’m out of contract at the end of the season, but at the moment I am fighting to try and ensure Gabala get into Europe.”

Gabala are currently in fourth place in the Azerbaijan Premier League with three games to play.

They will clinch a place in the Europa League’s first qualifying round if they are able to make up a two-point deficit to Sabail, a team which Michael Essien signed for in March.
