With Antoine Griezmann confirming his departure last month, Atlético Madrid are now on the hunt for a new attacker to replace the Frenchman.
A number of candidates have been shortlisted but according to one report in Italy, Milan’s Suso is the one they want.
Corriere dello Sport say that the capital club are willing to pay the Spaniard’s release clause this summer, which is apparently as low as €40m.
Milan are looking to balance their books over the next few months following their failure to qualify for the Champions League and pressure from Uefa regarding Financial Fair Play.
They had hoped that the 25-year-old would stay for 2019/20, but the player himself is thought to be keen on a move back to Spain and to play in Europe’s premier club competition.
