Atlético Madrid have confirmed that João Félix has suffered ligament damage to his right ankle.
The Portuguese youngster came off during Atleti’s 1-1 draw with Valencia on Saturday afternoon after what looked like a bad twist to his right foot.
And now the capital club have revealed that after a scan, the youngster has suffered a “grade two” sprain to the ligaments in his ankle.
There are no suggestions yet as to how long Félix will be out for, but initial reports in Spain suggest it could be at least one month.
