Atlético Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Thomas Partey a new contract to ward off interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo who claim that there is genuine worry at Atleti that the midfielder could move to the Premier League this summer.
Thomas has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal in the past and there are still some in the Spanish capital who believe that the Gunners will swoop for the 26-year-old.
They are looking to cut that off at the pass though, and offer the Ghana international a new deal despite his current contract not expiring until 2023.
It’s thought that Atleti are ready to offer Thomas a deal until 2025, and double his already €80,000-per-week wages.
