Top goalscorer Tammy Abraham is fit and ready to go for Aston Villa’s play-off push, Dean Smith has revealed.

After picking up a shoulder injury away to Bolton in April, the Chelsea loanee has been sidelined since, leading to concerns about his fitness.

Although he hasn’t featured since that game, Smith reassured fans that Abraham will be back for Saturday’s clash with West Bromwich Albion.

“He trained today and he has no problems with his shoulder,” Smith said, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.

“I even caught him taking a throw-in, which he shouldn’t have been!

“But he is back now and in good form and pushing for a starting place.”

The 21-year-old has been the Villains’ top scorer this season with 25 goals and they will aim to sign him during the summer.

However, FIFA’s upholding of Chelsea’s ban on registering new players could result in Abraham remaining at Stamford Bridge.
