Aston Villa enter the race for Leeds United transfer target

According to reports from Football Insider, it looks as if Aston Villa are poised to battle Leeds United for the highly-rated Coventry City starlet, Sam McCallum.

After earning his place in Mark Robins’ first team, the 19-year-old has been turning heads and the big clubs have taken noticed.

According to the report, Aston Villa have made it known that McCallum is a potential transfer in the January transfer window.

A source added to Football Insider that Villa are planning to regularly scout McCallum over the coming months as they look to intensify their interest.

However, despite the potential interest from Aston Villa, Leeds United remain one of a number of Championship clubs also believed to be tracking the left back, who signed with City in 2018.
