Aston Villa have reportedly entered the race to bring Milan forward Fabio Borini back to the Premier League.
The Italian has previous experience in England (and Wales) with Chelsea, Liverpool, Sunderland and Swansea City.
According to Calciomercato, he could be in line to return there this summer with two clubs keen on his signature.
The report suggests that both Villa and Crystal Palace are interesting in taking him off Milan’s hands this summer.
After two years at the San Siro, it appears the 28-year-old’s time at the Rossoneri is up and he isn’t part of Marco Giampaolo’s plans.
The coach doesn’t view the ex-Roma man as being suited to his 4-3-1-2 system which he has utilised at both Empoli and Sampdoria.
Borini is apparently open to the idea of returning to the Premier League and would consider offers from Villa and Palace.
In total, he has scored 16 goals during his previous spells in the English top flight.
