Kasimpasa vice president Hasan Hilmi Oksuz had previously admitted the Süper Lig side had rejected an initial bid of €7.5m for the 24-year-old, who starred at the Africa Cup of Nations and was part of Egypt’s World Cup squad.

Trezeguet is believed to have preferred a Premier League move amid outside interest from both Watford and Sampdoria.

Last season with Kasimpasa, the Egyptian scored nine goals and added a further 10 assists. He’s now set to link up with fellow countryman Ahmed Elmohamady.
