Arturo Vidal has been linked with several European clubs but he might end up a lot closer to home in Brazil.
Bayern Munich’s central midfielder spoke to Brazilian social media account Pilhado on Monday, saying that playing for Flamengo would be a dream move.
Vidal spoke of following Brazilian football with his Bayern teammate Rafinha and former teammate Renato Augusto.
“He’s a great friend of mine and always talked to me about the club Flamengo and their fans.”
Vidal notes the atmosphere at Flamengo’s home stadium as particularly enticing, “I’d love to feel that energy. Playing for Flamengo, at the Maracanã, would be a dream.”
The Chilean midfielder has a year left on his current contract at the German giant and has had no lack of potential suitors.
“If they want to contact me, I’m here. We could win the Libertadores, Brasileirao, Carioca… everything!”
