Arturo Vidal has told Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde he’s ready for more action after making his first start in six months on Tuesday.
The midfielder is yet to start for Barcelona since a summer move from Bayern Munich but clearly, he wants that to change.
Vidal’s start against South Korea was his first start since March, when he suffered a serious knee injury.
So far his four Barcelona appearances have seen him play a grand total of just 42 minutes but he completed 74 minutes for Chile on Tuesday and is now eager to return to Camp Nou.
“I hope to have more minutes in Barcelona to continue improving,” said the 31-year-old. “It’s been a long time since I played a full game and I did not want to leave.
“I felt good with the team. We feel good and there is a lot of hunger to achieve things.”
Barcelona have started the season well, winning the Spanish Supercup and all three of their opening LaLiga games.
With Valverde’s side in such good form, Vidal may have to wait a little longer for his full debut.
