James Rodríguez will reportedly stay at Bayern Munich until ‘at least the end of the season’ and reject the chance to move to Arsenal.
James has six months left on a two-year loan with the Bundesliga giants from Real Madrid, but the 27-year-old has failed to really nail down a place in Niko Kovač’s starting XI this term.
As such, the Colombia international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena, with both Arsenal and Napoli believed to be interested.
But ESPN have revealed that sources close to James’ camp insist he will still be at Bayern come the end of the January window and could well remain with the Bavarians into next term.
The summer 2017 agreement between Madrid and Bayern includes an option for the Bundesliga side to make the deal permanent in July 2019, if they pay a reported €42 million to add to the €13m loan fee.
And the player himself is said to be willing to stay in Germany and reject any potential moves away.
