Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Stephan Lichtsteiner when his contract at Juventus expires this summer.

The 34-year-old has won seven straight titles with the Old Lady since signing from Lazio in 2011.

However, the Switzerland international’s star has waned in recent seasons, falling behind Mattia De Sciglio in Massimiliano Allegri’s pecking order.

As such, the Italian giants are willing to let Lichtsteiner see out his deal and will let him leave on a free at the end of June.

The Guardian are reporting that the Gunners have already been in contact with the veteran defender and are set for talks in London in the next few weeks.

If the deal were to go through it would make him Unai Emery’s first signing as Arsenal boss.
