Arsenal have given an update on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s fitness ahead of their crucial clash with Leicester this weekend.
Aubameyang missed the Gunners 3-1 defeat at Wolves in midweek after undergoing a ‘small procedure on a sinus’.
However the north London club have not confirmed that the striker will be in contention to take on the Foxes in what will be a vital fixture in their push for the top four.
“Pierre had a small procedure on a sinus which went well and he is being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match at Leicester,” a statement read.
Arsenal will however be without Aaron Ramsey for the match after he suffered a severe hamstring strain in their Europa League win over Napoli last week.
Unai Emery’s side have not won a league game in which the Welshman hasn’t started since late February.
