Boasting 10 goals scored by 10 different players, Arsenal are closing in on a new top-flight record.

Granit Xhaka and Mesut Özil struck in Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Newcastle and became the ninth and 10th members of the team to score for the north London club.

With all their goals coming from different players, Arsenal need just four more players to net for the first time this season in succession to claim a record held for 18 years.

Back in 2001/02, newly-promoted Blackburn Rovers notched up an incredible 13 players who scored one after the other.

Chelsea went close to breaking the record three seasons ago hitting eleven different scorers in just six matches.

Hosting Everton on Sunday, the outfield players who could possibly add to their record with their maiden goals of the season are Aaron Ramsey, Hector Bellerin, Sokratis, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Though we’re sure Arsenal fans won’t be too fussed who hits the net next so long as the team extend their winning run to four games.
