Arsenal have reportedly agreed personal terms with Lorient forward Alexis Claude-Maurice.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season in Ligue 2, scoring 14 goals and assisting three in 31 appearances.
According to L’Equipe, the Gunners have seen two bids rejected by Lorient but remain confident of concluding a deal after convincing the player.
There is also a good relationship between the two clubs following the signing of midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi last summer.
Claude-Maurice is capable of playing across the frontline or as an attacking midfielder, which could appeal to manager Unai Emery following the departure of Danny Welbeck.
It’s understood that Lorient will accept a bid of €18m.
