Anthony Martial is loving life again at Manchester United.
The Frenchman was reportedly unhappy at Old Trafford towards the end of José Mourinho’s reign in charge.
Struggling for starts, Martial’s agent, the day before the Portuguese was sacked, admitted he was “very pessimistic about a positive outcome of the discussions” regarding a long-term deal for the forward.
However, since Mourinho was dismissed, the feel-good factor is back, United have enjoyed a fine seven-game winning run under new coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Martial is enjoying his football again.
“I’m happy, I’m playing more now this season than I was previously,” Martial told Premier League Productions.
“So hopefully that can continue.
“I want to continue scoring goals and obviously that will have the effect of helping the team, so as long as I’m playing I am very happy.”
The 23-year-old praised Solskjaer who has had a resounding effect on the Red Devils squad since taking charge in December.
“He gives us lots of advice for sure, it’s very good for young players like us,” he said.
“It give us opportunity to learn from his good advice.”
United, who are currently sixth but only three points off the top four, are in FA Cup action on Friday night as they travel to legendary rivals Arsenal.
