With a year remaining on his contract, Andy King, currently on loan at Derby, is thinking about leaving the club where he has been since his academy days in 2004.

King, is most famously known for being the first player in the Premier League era to win League One, the Championship, and the Premier League all with the same club.

Now, at age 30, King is considering all his options while he still has gas left in the tank.

“That is down to me to see how well I can do between now and the end of the season.

“I am still contracted to Leicester, I am still a Leicester player.

“We don’t know what is going to happen there and we don’t know what is going to happen here between now and the end of the season in terms of performances and where Derby finish, and things like that.

“I’m here to do as well as I can and hopefully help get the team promoted, and see what happens in the summer.”

King hinted that his goal is to remain in the top-flight, and if he can achieve that at Derby, he may look to stay on with the Rams.

“You always want to play at the highest level you can.

“For me, that is obviously playing in the Premier League. Whether that can be with Derby, hopefully, if the end of the season goes well, then why not.

“The manager has come in and done a really good job. The players are buying into it, it is a good group and good players. You never know what the end of the season is going to hold.”
