Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has admitted that he can “never close the door to Barcelona” as rumours continue to grow of a potential return to Camp Nou.
Onana came through the youth ranks in the Catalan capital but moved to the Eredivisie champions in 2015 with the promise of regular first team football.
Onana has since gone on to become one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in Europe, starring in Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals last season.
There have been reports that the Blaugrana could make a move for the Cameroon international in the summer as a back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
And the 23-year-old has conceded that he would consider going back to his old club.
“I would be happy to talk to them,” he told COPE.
“Barça is my home but we will see what happens at the end of the season.
“I could never close the door to Barça. I am proud to have been a part of that club and I’m here today because of them.”
