Juan Carlos Osorio already has five titles in his career and is rumoured to desire a career in European football.

Whether or not the Argentine manager will lead the Mexican National Team after the World Cup remains a mystery, which is why names of possible substitutes have already begun to pop up. Among these names, Matías Almeyda and Miguel Herrera have emerged as the favorites.

The charisma of the Club América manager has made him the front-runner, although his latest results do not support his cause. If you look strictly at results, Matías Almeyda should win the job. He just added another piece of silverware to his collection Wednesday, claiming the CONCACAF Champions League title against Toronto FC.

Almeyda’s looks to be more prepared to leave, as he has formed a very good project with Chivas. He has allowed his team to practically be trained by his inferiors and he has won every title he has competed for (except the Campeón de Campeones). He would not be needed on the bench of the rojiblancos.

Winning a very dramatic CONCACAF Champions League would seem like the ideal farewell for Almeyda. It would seem very deserving to beat Herrera, who has not won a trophy since he was dismissed from the Mexican National Team.
