Alexis Vega was the hero in the Clásico Tapatío over the weekend, scoring his second goal of the season just past the hour mark to give Chivas a much-needed 1-0 victory.

However, there was much to be talked about after the match, as his goal celebration rubbed many off in the wrong way.

The Disciplinary Commission will initiate an investigation process as Vega’s shorts dropped a little low and they will determine whether or not the act was intentional.

On Twitter, the striker defended himself, stating: “I want to clarify that what happened was never intended, it was an accident when I wanted to take off my shirt and my shorts got too low.

“Just to make it clear, don’t misunderstand that this was my good day celebration.”

Any suspension could be potentially devastating for both Chivas and Vega, as the player has finally been given first-choice duties in place of Peralta, while the club has a pair of big matches coming up against Monarcas and Pachuca ahead of next Saturday’s Súper Clásico.
