After not scoring in his first six matches since his massive €8.2m move from Toluca, the 21-year-old delivered the goods in the Clásico Tapatío with a hat-trick in front of his own fans.

His first goal came after he capitalised on a horrific defensive error just eight minutes into the match.

His second strike came in the 23rd minute after Vega did well to hold the ball up and dish it off to Isaac Brizuela.

Vega would receive the ball back a short time later and provided a calm finish.

Vega completed his hat-trick just after the hour-mark after some incredible tiki-taka play that led to Brizuela’s second assist of the match.

With the result, Chivas moved into fourth place in Liga MX.
