The 19-year-old has been a revelation after breaking through under Jürgen Klopp, establishing himself as first-choice right back ahead of Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez.
Despite being one of the least experienced players in the senior side, he has made no secret of his ambition to captain the club he supports further down the line.
“There is nowhere else I’d rather be than Liverpool,” Alexander-Arnold told the Times.
“Somewhere I want to stay for the rest of my career is Liverpool.
“It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. Liverpool are special. It’s completely down to the fans. Whether we are winning or losing we always have their love.
“I want to become captain one day. That’s definitely a dream of mine.
“I hope with dedication, the right advice and hard work that I might one day achieve that dream, which is something that me and my family will be very proud of.”
