He has had a choice between Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City but it seems that Frenkie De Jong has finally made a decision of where he’ll be going next.

Mundo Deportivo say that the Ajax youngster has opted to join Barça, with his agent telling City and PSG his decision late on Tuesday night.

Their story indicates that representatives of the Camp Nou club will travel to Amsterdam on Wednesday to complete the deal with an announcement set for this weekend.

Barcelona will pay €90m for the 21-year-old, €15m more than their initial bid earlier this month.

It’s claimed that De Jong will sign a five-year contract and will, significantly, join up with his new team-mates this month – not the summer.

PSG are also on the hunt for another central reinforcement and will now turn their attention to Everton’s Idrissa Gueye.
