On Monday, Aston Villa will once again hit the pitch at Wembley for this year’s Championship play-off final when they face Derby.
Last season, they endured a 1-0 loss against Fulham despite being up a man for over 20 minutes and Ahmed Elmohamady says they’re ready to get over the hump this time around.
“Hopefully this time is going to be a good time for us, because last year was very very disappointing after the game hopefully it’s our time to get back to the Premier League.
“When you’ve been there and you feel disappointed after the game (it sucks).
”You see the fans were a bit down these are all things you’ve got in your mind before the game and then you just go out and give everything and hopefully it will be our time this time.”
Aston Villa throttled Derby in both meetings this year, winning 3-0 at Pride Park back in November before defeating them 4-0 in March.
