AC Milan: 2015/16 season preview

Rossoneri Blog has kindly predicted the new season for Onefootball. Here's their 2015/16 season preview.

Despite Italy getting a bad reputation in the last few years regarding their presence at the top of European football (or, lack of), Juventus were able to convincingly defeat Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League before edging past favourites Real Madrid to the 2015 final in Berlin. They may not have lifted last season’s most coveted prize thanks to Lionel Messi and Co. but they were able to put Italy back on the map again – how long for, who knows.

Better things will also be expected of AC Milan after their acquisitions of Carlos Bacca, Alessio Romagnoli and Andrea Bertolacci, who should be improving on last season’s poor 10th placed finish. Inter, too, need to get back to the top of Serie A if the Milan clubs want to maintain their reputation as two of Italy’s biggest teams.

Rossoneri Blog, part of the Football Collective, have predicted what the 2015/16 season will look like for Serie A and for AC Milan. Below you will find their predictions for the season under #MySeasonPreview and you’ll find their ideal AC Milan lineup for the upcoming season.

AC Milan 2015/16 season preview summary

Unless there are surprises in the shape of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, then Carlos Bacca will be the top scorer in the Milan as Mihajlovic got a striker with qualities to make the difference. Bonaventura and De Jong will be the key players once again as it will be up to ‘Jack’ to link the midfield and attack while Nigel remains the most important piece of the midfield. There are plenty of players the Rossoneri need to get rid of and many fans will agree that Nocerino, Zaccardo and Matri have no future at the club while the likes of Albertazzi and Verdi are clearly on their way out.
