Borussia Dortmund are locked in a fierce title battle with Bayern Munich that is set to go down to the wire.

Schalke come into the game aware that a win would all but keep them in the top flight, having battled against the drop.

According to defender Abdou Diallo, that is precisely what makes Schalke such a big threat.

“With an injured animal you always have to be alert,” he told Kicker.

“That is what makes them dangerous. Schalke can save their season in this game.

“They will give everything they have and be ready to give 200% against us.

“But as with any derby, all that matters is winning and the way we do it won’t matter if we win.”

BVB won the season’s previous meeting 2-1 thanks to a Jadon Sancho winner.
