Corinthians training on Tuesday had an important presence. Manager Tiago Nunes, hired to take charge of the team next season, attended CT Joaquim Grava for the first time since the move was announced.

The new manager has already met with club officials. Managing director André Negão published a photo on Instagram in which he appears next to the former Athletico Paranaense boss and director of football Duílio Monteiro Alves.

Announced at the beginning of November to replace Fabio Carille, Tiago Nunes arrives at Corinthians after a major stint with Athletico, winning the 2018 Copa Sudamericana and Paranaense titles, as well as the 2019 Copa do Brasil.

However, the commander will not make his debut with his new club until 2020. Until then, interim boss Dyego Coelho will attempt to guide his team into the Copa Libertadores places.

Corinthians are currently in eighth place on 50 points with five games to play, three points behind São Paulo for a play-off place and six points behind Grêmio for a very unlikely group-stage berth.
