Real Talk 👏

It always seems to develop into a saga whenever Manchester United attempt to sign a player nowadays, and we are in the midst of one with their attempt to sign Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes.

The move appeared to hit a bit of a roadblock at the weekend but Sky Sports are reporting that the 25-year-old has told the Portuguese club he is desperate to leave and more talks are expected to take place this week.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur may turn to Leicester City striker Islam Slimani to fill the gap left by Harry Kane’s injury, according to The Telegraph.

England international Kane is expected to be out for the majority of the rest of the season with a ruptured hamstring and José Mourinho is reportedly interested in bringing the Algerian in on loan.

The 31-year-old is still contracted to Leicester City but has been on loan to AS Monaco for the first half of this season, where he has scored 7 goals in 13 appearances in Ligue 1.

Staying with Spurs, expect to see some movement on Inter Milan’s pursuit of Christian Eriksen this week. The Daily Mail are reporting that the Serie A club intend to complete their deal for the Danish midfielder before their game with Cagliari next weekend.

Although, Inter need to up their bid to €17.5m to get the deal done.

Fake News 😡

The Daily Star are reporting that Arsenal will seek to sign Bayern Munich’s Jérôme Boateng on loan this month, before making a move for RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano in the summer.

Arsenal do have an issue at centre-half, granted, but would they focus on such a stop-gap solution with just 11 days left on the window?

Time will tell.

The 31-year-old has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Bavarians this season.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte seems intent on getting the band back together at the San Siro.

Moves for Chelsea pair Victor Moses and Olivier Giroud are expected to materialise this week according to Sky Sports, with Conte managing the pair at Stamford Bridge.

What appears to be less believable is Spanish paper Sport’s report on Inter signing 34-year-old Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric this January.

Real Madrid are expected to finalise the deal of Flamengo youngster Reinier Jesus today, according to AS.

Jesus turned 18 yesterday which now allows the Spanish giants to rubber stamp the €30m transfer.

The highly-rated attacking midfielder has netted six goals in his 15 appearances for the Brazilian Serie A side so far in his career, which has been enough to convince Madrid officials to bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu.

What you missed yesterday 👇

Erm, very little, in all honesty.

Sunday is a day of rest after all.

Total spend this month: €333.2m
