Another week, another round of hot, steaming gossip for your delectation.
Letâs have a look at what the papers are saying this morning, shall we?
Gary Cahillâs endured a season from hell at Chelsea under Maurizio Sarri but it looks like his knight in shining could be former boss Antonio Conte. Cahill will leave Stamford Bridge with his contract having expired, and Sport Mediaset say that he will go a reunite with his old coach at Inter. Gary Cahill at Inter Milan â this really is End of Days territory.
Perhaps less surprising is the news from France that Paris Saint-Germain are now willing to sell Neymar, with Barcelona or Real Madrid ready to swoop. LâEquipe say that the Ligue 1 side have had enough of his antics â both and and off pitch â and will look to recoup the âŹ222m they parted with two years ago.
This wouldnât be a summer 2019 transfer gossip column without mention of Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaerâs side have been linked with almost every player in Europe, but this latest rumour looks like it could have substance. The Sun say that should their approach of Aaron Wan-Bissaka fail then the best name in football â PSV Eindhovenâs Denzel Dumfries â is their plan b.
The Dumfries rumour may look legit, but this next one seems a bit fishy to us. The Daily Star say that Youri Tielemans â brilliant Belgian midfielder who shone at Leicester last season â has been offered to United, but that the Old Trafford outfit have turned him down in favour of Giovani Lo Celso.
And there was us thinking that Lo Celso had decided to join Tottenham.
And finally today, an astonishing story from everyoneâs favourite, the Daily Express. They claim that Philippe Coutinho wants to leave Barcelona â agreed â but that his preferred destination is transfer banâs own Chelsea. * thinking face emoji *
And on the seventh day the Football Godâs gave us: news that Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United; the confirmation that Maurizio Sarri is the new Juventus coach; Tanguy NdombĂ©lĂ© admitting he would like to join Tottenham and some glorious action in the Womenâs World Cup.
Rest we did not.
