Tottenham have confirmed that Harry Kane will be out until the start of March after damaging ligaments in his left ankle during last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
If, as the club have confirmed, the striker will be sidelined until early March, it means that the England international will miss the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash with Borussia Dortmund on February 13.
He’ll also be absent for crucial clashes against Chelsea in the EFL Cup and the Premier League, and could also be out for the north London derby on March 2.
This news could also have an impact on their transfer dealings this month.
Reports from Turkey indicated that Fernando Llorente could be off to Galatasaray, but that move may now have to be scrapped with the Spaniard their only other fit centre forward.
