Tottenham defender Cameron Carter-Vickers will spend the 2019/20 season on loan at Stoke.
The 21-year-old becomes the Championship side’s ninth signing of the summer.
“Cameron’s arrival strengthens our central defensive resources which is something we made a priority after Ryan Shawcross suffered his unfortunate injury,” Potters boss Nathan Jones told the club’s official website.
“He’s a highly promising young player who has already shown that the Championship holds no fears for him. He was wanted by a number of clubs at this level and we’re delighted to have managed to sign him.”
The United States international has played in the Championship before, having previously spent time on loan at Sheffield United, Ipswich and Swansea.
