Stoke City have parted ways with Nathan Jones on Friday with the club in the Championship relegation zone.
Jones was appointed nine months ago but Stoke have won just five of 35 Championship matches under his guidance.
In a statement released on the club’s website, Jones said:
“I would like to thank John and Peter Coates, firstly for the opportunity to manage this Football Club and then for the continued support and patience throughout my time here.
“I would also like to thank the supporters for their fantastic support. Finally, I wish the Club the very best for the future.”
Stoke have confirmed that Rory Delap, Kevin Russell and Andy Quy will take temporary charge of the first team.
