Los Blancos were keen to get the deal done early for the Brazilian due to the fact his release clause was going to increase to €75m in July.

Militão only joined Porto from São Paulo last summer but has impressed greatly playing alongside former Los Blancos defender Pepe during his first season in Europe.

The centre-back made his senior debut for Brazil against El Salvador last September and he has been called up again for the upcoming friendlies against Panama and the Czech Republic later this month.

His contract at the Bernabéu will run until 30 June 2025 and he will occupy the third foreign player slot in Zinedine Zidane’s squad alongside compatriots Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo.
