Real Madrid confirm thigh injury for Luka Modrić

Real Madrid have confirmed that Luka Modrić has picked up a thigh injury and will almost certainly miss their game with Real Mallorca at the weekend.

Los Blancos have been plagued with muscle injuries this season and will be without another player for their trip to the island side on Saturday.

The club have confirmed that the Croatia international has a severe bruise on his right thigh and will likely be rested for the weekend.

All expectations are though, that Modrić will be available for El Clasico on October 26.
