Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Swansea City winger Daniel James.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who report on Friday that United are close to agreeing a £15m deal to sign James, who has been compared to Red Devils legend Ryan Giggs.

The 21-year-old Wales international winger has just one year left to run on his contract at the Liberty Stadium and very nearly joined Leeds in a deal worth £8.5m in January.

He scored five times in 38 appearances for the Swans this season, including this stunning solo effort against Brentford in the FA Cup.

His potential arrival at Old Trafford could signal the end of Anthony Martial’s United career amid reports Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not happy with the Frenchman’s attitude.

However, the BBC report that United are one of a number of clubs interested in James and no deal has been agreed yet.
