Marcelo Bielsa will stay at Leeds United for a second season, the club have confirmed.
The Argentine agreed a two-year contract when he joined the club last summer. However, Leeds retained the option to either cancel or extend the deal after one season.
With the campaign over, the club have opted to take up the option to keep Bielsa for another year.
Leeds enjoyed a fantastic season under the Argentine, picking up 83 points in the Championship, their highest points tally since promotion from League One in 2010.
However, they missed out on promotion to the Premier League after finishing third in the league. The Yorkshire outfit lost to Derby County in the play-off semi-finals after the end of the regular season.
Now, Bielsa will have a second crack at winning promotion.
