James Garner has been handed a first senior start for Manchester United as they take on Partizan in Europa League action on Thursday night.

The midfielder appeared just once briefly off the bench last season but is in from the opening whistle in Belgrade in a midfield that also includes Scott McTominay, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.

Brandon Williams also starts in defence alongside Harry Maguire, who captains the side in the absence of David de Gea.

Anthony Martial returns to the line-up after appearing off the bench last time out and leads the line for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
