Tottenham striker Harry Kane is not expected to play again this season.
The club have confirmed that the striker has suffered “significant lateral ligament injury to his left ankle” in their 1-0 defeat of Manchester City on Tuesday.
According to reports, Kane will now miss the remainder of Tottenham’s season, though he could return to play in the Nations League for England in June.
The Daily Mail say the injury is similar to the one suffered by the striker in January. Kane was initially ruled out for two months but returned within five weeks.
If he comes back the same timeframe this time around, he could feature for England in the Nations League finals.
He will, though, miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
Tottenham also confirmed that Dele Alli suffered a fractured hand against Manchester City. He could, though, feature against Brighton this weekend.
