Barcelona have signed Antoine Griezmann from Atlético Madrid for a €120m fee, just a year after the forward opted to remain in the capital.
The World Cup winner has signed a five-year contract at Camp Nou containing an €800m release clause.
Griezmann’s lawyers arrived at the LaLiga offices in Madrid to pay his Atlético Madrid release clause on Friday.
The French forward will now link up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez at Camp Nou next season.
Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou last year but opted to remain with Atlético.
Now, though, he has completed the switch.
The €120m fee makes Griezmann the club’s joint second most expensive signing of all time, behind Philippe Coutinho and level with Ousmane Dembélé.
